The end is in sight

Last Saturday I was considering crawling under the bed and never coming out. I had three long papers to write, and four days to do it in. By Tuesday afternoon, I was finished all three. It was a chaotic and interesting few days, but I think I still managed to write essays I can be proud of. Now that they're done and out of the way, I only have my final exams to worry about - and those don't start for another couple weeks.

Now, however, spring has arrived, and Matt and I are spending every available minute in the garden. We have lots of fun plans for this, our first year with a fence (and therefore no deer). I have pulled up more than twice my body weight in dandelions, and still have more to uproot. Today, while Matt dug up last year's plant beds to make room for our new vegetable patch, I planted violets, sweet peas, nasturtiums and scarlet runner beans in seed trays. In a week or two we'll transplant them into the garden. I know you're excited by the thought that I'll have pictures of intensely thrilling sprouts and seedlings as they start to come up.

I'll try not to forget about you, little blog. But in the meantime, here's the cutest Shadow picture yet.
